Technical protection across the equator: HUATAO engineers support African paper mills

On February 9, 2025, when Northern China was still sleeping in the cold winter, HUATAO engineer Frank boarded a flight to Nairobi. This trip has a dual mission: one is to visit five papermaking customers in Kenya, and the other is to solve the installation problem of the rewinding and slitting machine for the local paper mill.

Act 1: Seven days of fierce battle

In the early morning of February 11, the metal shutter door of the factory rose with a harsh friction sound. In front of engineer Frank was a scarred rewinding and slitting machine-due to improper operation of the workers during the customer's installation, the circuit pipeline was twisted and broken, the paper feeding motor was damaged, the outer shell welding port was covered with patches like a centipede, and the paper cutter motor was completely burned. What's more fatal is that the factory electrician arbitrarily modified the equipment parameters, causing the control system to fall into chaos.

Faced with such a dilemma, Huatao engineers and domestic technical teams held a video consultation overnight, worked tirelessly for many days, and solved customer problems one by one. Finally, late at night on February 17, the first flat roll of paper was spit out from the end of the machine.

Act 2: On-site visit

After solving the installation problem of the machine, Huatao's local customers made an on-site visit.

1. Visited the customer's production process, understood the problems in the customer's production, and proposed Huatao's professional solutions

2. Asked customers for feedback on the Huatao products currently in use, and received unanimous praise from customers, and feedback that the inventory of papermaking clothings, grinding discs(refiner plate) and other accessories was sufficient.
