The MDF refiner,also called defibrator, is a core machine in fiberboard production, designed to process wood chips into high-quality fibers through thermo-mechanical pulping. It consists of a feeding system, preheating chamber, grinding disc assembly, and discharge unit.
Wood chips are steamed under high pressure to soften lignin, then fed into the refining zone where rotating discs separate them into fine fibers.
